Facebook removes hundreds of pages committed to "inauthentic conduct"

Facebook announced late Thursday that it'd removed 200 pages, classes, and accounts which engaged in coordinated inauthentic behaviour On Facebook and Instagram from the Philippine.

Based on a business blog article, the pages and accounts were connected to a network arranged by Nic Gabunada,; the social networking director of Rodrigo Duterte's presidential campaign with which BuzzFeed News discussed last year in the story about the way Duterte exploited Facebook to undermine domestic political resistance and fuel a bloody drug war in the nation.

The accounts that engaged in such coordinated inauthentic behavior gave them something to talk about, Gabunada said in the time.
