Tesla is starting to roll out new feature for Dynamic Brake Lights

Tesla started rolling out a brand new safety feature named Dynamic brake lights in model 3 cars in Europe to help prevent rear end injuries. As part of its 2019.8.3 software update, which introduced several distinct attributes to different Tesla vehicles based on the kind and the current market, the car manufacturer also pushed these dynamic brake lights attribute that's quite simple and yet it could assist in preventing avoidable accidents. Tesla describes the feature from the release notes: If you're driving over 50 km/h and brake forcefully, the brake indicators will flash rapidly to warn other motorists that your auto is quickly slowing down.

At the top of flashing the brake indicators in case of rapid deceleration, the attribute also automatically turns the hazard warning lights on for you. The car manufacturer says that they're turned back off automatically as soon as you press on the accelerator: When your vehicle stops entirely, the hazard warning lights will flash till you press the accelerator or manually press on the hazard warning lights button to flip them off. To date, only Model 3 owners in Europe have reported getting the attribute as part of Tesla's latest software update. Tesla's plan for a broader deployment of the attribute to other vehicles and at other markets are unclear about this time. It might be difficult for Tesla to introduce the attribute in the united states, in which there are strict restrictions concerning what brake indicators may do. The attribute had been in use in Europe by other automakers for decades now. BMW is among the legacy automakers that provide it.
