Think about it. We've Been using Windows with big screens nearly all our life. It remains the most famous desktop/laptop OS, utilized by folks of all ages, and although Google's ChromeOS and Apple's MacOS are strong rivals, there is specific structure that Windows uses that's universal. A start button and a taskbar in the bottom, folders and files appearing as windows which can be minimized and maximized and screen that is conducive to energy consumption and multitasking. Windows is the perfect big screen OS for small or massive jobs, and for complex work in addition to basic internet browsing.
Whenever you think of folding phones, the first use case which springs to mind is multitasking&hellip, a feature that mobile OS's have not really enabled nicely. I do not know how to use applications in a split screen in android, and although I kind of know my way around iOS, I seldom see myself multitaskingon my iPad. On my laptop computer, it occurs without me even thinking or knowing. I have got Chrome open, but in addition a folder open in the background, a note program on my desktop, and photoshop minimized, ready to be used. The property offered by a massive screen just makes things simpler, and the Windows OS really allows this in a way that is so simple to use, he is taken for granted.
Today whenever you look at Microsoft's vision of a cell phone, like the Surface Notice concept shown below, you will instantly understand that it is running Windows, as opposed to a mobile OS constructed for screens no larger than 6 inches. The OS replicates the familiar desktop experience which in fact makes a massive screen useful. Fold the surface note in half whenever you need a phone, and open it in its largest format to use multiple applications together. The process feels incredibly natural, given how comfortable we're with the Windows OS, and the bigger screen's performance is further extended with the existence of the Surface Stylus.
The stylus is even allowed to be carried within the Surface simply by wedging it in like a bookmark. Microsoft still appears to be working on creating their super confidential folding gadget, even though people HAVE found several patents online. Personally, this could honestly be a fairly big deal for Microsoft. Regardless if you like it or not, they have had the monopoly on big screen OS meant for power users along. Android and iOS could be in a real disadvantage here, because their OS wasn't developed for full featured multitasking&hellip, Windows for desktop and tablet, on the other hand, has. If they could manage to provide on a device which lets you carry that massive screen on your pocket, then that's only an unbelievable win for the organization, and the OS!.
